A Consignment Agreement is an agreement where the owner of goods (the "Consignor") agrees to place the goods with a seller (the "Consignee"), who in turn agrees to sell the goods on behalf of the owner in exchange for a commission based upon the sales price. The seller ("Consignee") is usually a person or business that is in the business of selling the types of goods that the owner owns. The seller advertises and attempts to sell the goods, and if successful, keeps a portion of the sales price as a commission. This document should be used by parties interested in entering into a consignment agreement.
